🌱It certainly felt like the first day of Spring yesterday, with my first butterfly encounters of the year. A comma and a brimstone, waking from their hibernation.

People are often aghast when they see the number lenses I try and cram into my bag. BUT look what happens when I don't! Caught out with just a 100mm macro (catching the last of the snow drops) and the most gorgeous male sparrow hawk appears before me. 🤔

A spot of early morning fishing. Little Egret sightings on the Wharfe are not as unfamiliar as they would have been 8/10 years ago, but they are always a thrill to stumble across.

It all started with a 110-film camera from the Avon catalog, when I fell in love with the idea of freezing a moment in time. A lot's changed since then, that excitement & anticipation when my finger presses the button is as exhilarating as it ever was. Happy #WorldPhotographyDay
