Jennifer Lawrence was playing a younger, more naive version of Mystique, and I think she portrayed that really well. Her posture, body language, and even her uncertainty reflected someone who was still figuring out who she was, not the confident, intimidating, and fully realized Mystique (Rebecca Romijn) we see later. It makes sense that she wouldn’t carry herself with the same commanding presence because she hadn’t grown into that version of the character yet. That’s character development, not bad acting.

It feels like so many new artists are trying to build their identity around the color pink, even though it’s already closely associated with Nicki Minaj’s brand. When everyone adopts the same visual identity, it oversaturates the aesthetic and makes it feel less distinctive. (which I’m guessing that’s the point for whoever’s moving the pieces on the board) Branding is about creating an identity people instantly associate with you, not borrowing one that’s already deeply connected to another artist like Nicki Minaj.
