I need to say something because this is getting ridiculous. When I shared my impression here after the album preview event that I didn't hear bg nearly enough on the album, thousands of moa were rightfully upset, but a couple of people accused me of "dividing the fandom before cb" and having "bad timing." Dividing the fandom into what? MOA who care if bg, the singer, gets to sing in the group's music, and those who don't...? And what's good timing when one member has been sidelined so repeatedly and predictably over the years that every time it happens again, it comes as no surprise to anyone? Now that we see he's missing from the credits and lots of MOA are voicing their disappointment, the same accusation about ruining cb excitement is being thrown around. That's crazy to me. Yes I'm excited for the album, and yes it's a great one - I've been generating tons of buzz myself by sharing spoilers. But make no mistake - I WILL be vocal about my disappointment if the line distribution turns out to match my first impression after more listens. I can always tell that bg feels his passion for music deep in his bones because he pours his blood, sweat, and tears into his craft despite the lack of opportunities to properly shine. I'm so happy he has the members on his side, it's a comfort because I trust the five of them to look out for each other in any situation. But shouldn't he also have us, his fans, right there behind him? Doesn't it come with the territory? I really think some of you should reflect on the sad reality that you're so used to him getting less than he deserves, wants, or works for that you've become desensitized to the point of getting annoyed when it's brought up. It feels like you're saying, "He will never get centered anyway, so get over it." You're not even disappointed knowing how deep his love for music goes or how much of a meaningful, colossal milestone this album is for the group... How can that be? I guess OT5 means different things to different people.

I hope beomgyu never loses his confidence or passion for producing music

some of you don’t have to go into every single comeback worried about the possibility of not even hearing your bias on a song or going Months without a single schedule and that’s part of why it’s so hard for you to comprehend how this is all so fucked up

since the contract renewal beomgyu had barely any solo promotions and now the new album that supposed to be special they didn’t give him lines AS USUAL also they didn’t even let him do the one thing he truly loves… working on music IM SO PISSED

im just so sad rn. beomgyu loves the team so much that he says it's everything to him, that the team is who he is. he has so much love for the members and im sure he's receiving that much love from them as well. there's really no question about their beautiful, unbreakable bond, and i wish for him to be with his people for as long as he wants. what breaks my heart is the blatant mismanagement and constant sidelining. yes, we dont know what happens behind the scenes, but we do see the results of what happens through what gets released and greenlighted. this specific album is very important for the group's career bc of the contract renewal, and the members talked about this album being a reflection of their 7-year journey. where was beomgyu in that? "maybe he didnt submit any lyrics." knowing beomgyu, i doubt that happened. he has so much passion for music and writing and im sure he'd want to contribute to this monumental album. but okay, let's bite the bullet and say he didnt submit any (which again is highly unlikely), wouldn't it have been the company's responsibility to empower all members to contribute to such an important album? a good production team would make sure that the 7TH YEAR album has even a liiiittle bit of a touch from each member. anyway, this isnt just an issue of credits in this album. this mismanagement has happened for the past 7 years. least lines, least schedules, least projects. these are things that a good company must give an artist they so desperately recruited. beomgyu has been very vocal about wanting to put himself more out there. he said he wants to make music, so he produced "maze in the mirror," "thursday's child has far to go," and "blue spring." he said he wants people to hear more of his voice, so he started creating solo covers and mvs. he said there's a message he wants to put across, so he produced and wrote "panic" and "take my half." he said he wants to have more fun by going on variety shows, so he goes to each one he's ever been allowed to be on, which isn't a lot. he has also even asked variety show hosts if they can invite him to their shows because he wants to be on them. it's never about beomgyu's inaction. because he, in fact, has been doing everything to show more of himself. it's never and will never be member vs. member bc he adores his teammates so much and we've seen how much they love and care for him too. the problem has always been with the company, how they have an artist with limitless potentials and who has expressed of wanting more, but they keep giving him the barest minimum each time. i will never stop hoping that the people at the company wake up and start treating him right, but that seems like a long shot right now. so until they give beomgyu all the opportunities he deserves, i will keep sharing my disappointment here, bc really, this is all i can ever do aside from supporting his releases. this is all we, beomgyu supporters (biasers or not), can do, so stop policing us when this mismanagement has been going on for far too long.
