A few months later the next president, Woodrow Wilson, signed one law that basically handed America's entire money supply to a group of bankers nobody voted for. They decide your interest rates. Your mortgage. How expensive your loans get. And nobody can touch them. That stayed that way for over 100 years. Until Trump Jerome Powell runs the Federal Reserve today. Think of him as the most powerful unelected guy in America. Trump has been trying to get rid of him, threatened to sue the Fed, and his DOJ even opened a criminal investigation into Powell this year. Powell came out and said it himself: this is really just about Trump wanting lower interest rates and the Fed saying no. That painting was not just hanging there.
