@paulontherun @NBLA_ALNB I think they’re talking about the Provincial Gas Tax, under section 6 of Ch. G-3, which Higgs increased to just over 15 cents on the litre in 2023. It’s entirely possible to reduce it.

The @NBLA_ALNB promised a tax break on gas saving us “around” 4 cents per litre, as part of their affordability platform? Why didn’t they know this was not possible by eliminating the carbon tax adjuster? Or were they lying for political expediency?

New Brunswick archives have been underfunded for a long time - probably an exaggeration, but I always assume that this is because Bill Parenteau taught provincial politicians that good history is dangerous.
