Always a blast taking a day trip to my old stomping grounds: Culpeper, VA! Downtown, La Chiapaneca, Raven’s Nest, and Old House Vineyards are all staples.

Good Friday is all about Divine Mercy and Justice. Mercy toward ruined sinners who believe upon Christ to remove sin’s power from them. And Justice for his elect to remove sin’s presence from them. Revelation 5:5 And one of the elders said to me, “Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals.” Revelation 6:10 They cried out with a loud voice, “O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before you will judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?”

John 11:25–27 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” She said to him, “Yes, Lord; I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who is coming into the world.”

This is Resurrection Hope. If we are in Christ, though we die, yet shall we live.
