We thank @RCSnews for this clear statement, with safe surgical practice and trainees at its core
SCPs have a well defined scope of practice: performing parts of a lap cholecystectomy with or without supervision has never been acceptable
We are thankful for the reminder to consultant colleagues to use every theatre opportunity to prioritise training the surgeons of tomorrow

@PPJSucharitkul @LMPDavenport It would be frankly reprehensible and wrong to use the zotero sci-hub plug in and have it automatically download the full PDF for any paper you add in from scholar/pubmed/WOK...
English

@LMPDavenport I have used all three and find that Zotero is just more reliable and doesn't corrupt with track changes (like mendeley can). That being said, it may just be easier for all those in the team to use the same ref manager
English

Genuine question for #AcademicTwitter and #MedTwitter, what advantages do paid-for reference managers (Endnote, Mendeley) etc. have over something open source like Zotero?
Considering that it's free and the ability to develop plugins and reference styles, what is it lacking?

@hannahmillana Freeform is underrated++ on iPad. Used it loads for MRCS anatomy - added bonus being free and already on your iPad!

They are quite explicit re training contract etc
Although practically no one does membership exams for fun, "technically" they are not wholly and necessarily required for your work if you're not in a training post - also not required for FY - ?call HMRC

In case you were wondering what actual professional leadership looks like…👇🏼
Maintaining high standards for patients today by refusing replacement of doctors by “physician associates”? ✅
Maintaining high standards for patients tomorrow by prioritising “junior” doctors? ✅
