@PhilRugby Last week the national football and rugby teams played at the same time. I live in Wrexham. It was extremely difficult to find somewhere to watch the rugby. We are football centric. The appetite for rugby isn't sufficient enough for a pro team.

I said that I would do a thread on WRU governance etc, once I had had a better look at the documentation which has been circulating ... First things first - the overriding purpose of a sporting governing body is to protect and to promote that specific sport. Above all else.

@Rreesrugby @AllWalesSport @dragonsrfc All of this due diligence and engagement should have been done first. Before any proposals were put forward by the WRU. I can't help but think that the WRU have got it completely backwards. The Dragons' supporters raise valid points that need answering. It's a complete mess.

Lengthy list of points raised in the @dragonsrfc supporters forum a fortnight ago regarding the WRU proposals.

'Look after our own first' say Reform, while not paying their share of tax to ensure that 'our own' can be looked after. Grifters and charlatans.

Contribute £1.7m towards a club you have no creative control over, no operational control, and no assets as the players would effectively be owned and operated by WRU. Not the most attractive of business cases.
