Jo Shimoda made a statement in Moto 1. His average lap was 2.7 seconds quicker than Deegan’s, his fastest was 1.4 quicker, and the rest of the field was 3–4 seconds per lap slower. Add in a 90.2 @LITProLIVE consistency score and wow.. what a ride.

FYI these measurements have no "real-world" value yet, just trying to show bottoming out (0) vs fully extended (100). But we have a ton of ideas, like measuring bike stability, rebound speed, etc.

There's some merit to the claim, he lost the most time to every rider that beat him down Mt. Martin (S4).
BUT... he didn’t outpace a single Top 7 rider in any sector, Mookie was the first rider he beat *barely*
AND... the Sand Whoops (S2) were just as bad in *most* cases
