VRT staff extends our deep condolences to the City of Nampa and family of Mayor Hogaboam.

We saw firsthand his passion for the people he served, his unwavering commitment to his community, and his thoughtful approaches to problem solving. He was a dedicated public servant whose collaboration and leadership left an impact across the region.

The City of Nampa and the entire Treasure Valley lost a leader with the tragic passing of Mayor Rick Hogaboam. Our staff got to work with Rick for years as a chief of staff, city councilman, and, most recently, mayor and member of the VRT Board of Directors.
