Qualifications for voting should include only U.S. Citizens who:
1) Own property.
2) Work and pay income taxes.
3) Veterans.
4) Retirees (age 65 and older) who paid into Social Security (FICA taxes) for at least 20 years.
5) Spouses of the above categories.
No one else should be allowed to vote. I also think voting age should go back to starting at 21.

It must be acutely embarrassing for Google and DeepMind’s top management that, despite having:
1) a multi-year head start, with most of the top minds in the field working there;
2) their own custom training and inference silicon now on its EIGHTH generation;
3) total investment in property, plant, and equipment of $281 billion;
4) over 80k engineers;
5) most of the world’s data collected and indexed for 20 years (including ungodly amounts of documents, emails, code, books, photos, videos, etc.);
they have been utterly upstaged by Kimi, a company with fewer than 500 employees and founded by Zhilin Yang, who only received his PhD from CMU in 2019 (recall that Hinton had been working at Google since 2013!).
Something is deeply dysfunctional and broken there to lead to an outcome this bad.
