@reporterchris So I took out a ruler and a compass (and measured the distance to line based on the puck size) and it was a goal. That said, the Ref had no way of seeing it from where he was, and must have made the call based on the acting skills of the Ducks.

@reporterchris It’s math (geometry). Below is crude but if you want it perfect blow it up penny size and put a penny on top of the photo = it’s a goal. It’s not even close. The whole puck is 100% over the line. Good call.

The @NHL needs to conduct serious review of Anaheim OT goal. There’s not a ref or linesman in site to visually see it, the goal light did not go on and the ref had both hands up after the goal. Yet they all decided in a center ice huddle. Fans deserve explanation of the call 🏒

@nhlpens Even if the call was "no goal", if the situation room had looked at it, they would have seen this:

Oilers got screwed. Call on the ice should've never been a good goal. I feel like the crowd cheering + Ducks celebrating pressured the refs into calling it good goal. Replay can't overturn anything. Jarry actually played great tonight. Good for him.
