From internal combustion to electric vehicles, cars have different sources that deliver power for propulsion and through different means as explained above. Which of these power sources is your preferred option and why?

Every day you drive out without these essentials is a day you’re at risk with no immediate help. Which of these do you have and what other essentials did I leave out?

@Verterex_Prop This! But being 💯 alert is key to take note of driver/car movements and react accordingly because of people like me that use engine braking initially during casual drives

Yes, it was also a thing with the 5spds unfortunately. Some YD3s (3rd gen) also had similar issues, in the case of that YD3 you were talking about -you will simply buy it additional time by doing all those flushes, with what you described, it’s very likely that the torque converter has gotten compromised already. It’s hit or miss with those vehicles - some ZF sourced 9spds also had problems as well in the facelifts, the only MDX that seem to have ironed out those problems are the 4th gens.

The Acura MDX is a great, reliable SUV to own and drive. However, with these problems in the second generation, would you consider buying one? If not, what other options within the category would you consider?

This explains what it takes to import a car into Nigeria averagely. Given this illustration, where do we draw the line between fair and outrageous prices from car dealers?

@wayne_m159 Thank you! Does the shudder occur in the 5spd transmission too? Because I just came into a 3rd gen with the 6spd & the shudder was insane especially at 2k rpm between 50-60 kmph. The 1st transmission flush has been done & it got better. The 2nd & 3rd will be done soon

If my memory serves me right, there were two gearboxes available in the YD2, the 07-09 used a 5spd unit, then the 2010 facelift got an updated 6spd unit which is similar to the one used in the first gen ZDX, some people were unfortunate and got problematic transmissions. The parasitic bluetooth module issue was resolved in the facelift i think, it was a major issue in the 07-09s which ruined car batteries. Some variants have active dampers and they were expensive to replace. To the best of my knowledge, The J37s didn't have VCM, it was the YD3 3rd gen that debuted with that update in the J35s. I remember all these because i almost bought one and switched to an ML350 instead because i got a good deal.
