coming on here to give 2 cents on fic convos: i think "fanfic prose" isnt any one thing but rather a lot of traits that tend to be signs of an inexperienced writer. epithets, overuse of italics/parentheses, excessive alternatives for "said," figurative language that lacks logic

this is so key because it genuinely doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks about your works. you’re the one in your doc for hours pouring love and effort into every word and you should enjoy it. even if no one reads it I sure as hell know I will over and over because it’s for ME
