If that's not deception and pure evil idk what is Read the Tumblr and educate yourself before you make the mistake of defending.

I'd just like to leave a message real quick that I'm still alive.

I've been considering tweeting a little bit more. A lot's happened in the past eight months.

And in the end, I'm happier this way.

I haven't gone full Luddite - I still use Discord and Steam sometimes, though not nearly as much. Folks still catch me around, they have conversations with me, but I'm not the constant digital presence that I used to be.

During all this time I've avoided social media, I haven't gotten into a big fight with my family once. The people in my life have been saying they've noticed a difference in my behavior; they say I've become more calm, less anxious, less stressed.

I don't feel stressed, or suicidal, or like I'm losing my mind anymore. I realize now I was using the Internet to avoid my real-life issues, instead of doing anything to deal with them. I hid from my problems instead of facing them.

And my mood's been better, my sleep cycle's been better, I started college classes, I started making genuine progress with programming, I started writing again, and I started drawing again.

So, over Christmas break, I decided to take my therapists' advise: Stop using social media. Try to avoid the Internet when you can. So for the past month, I've avoided the Internet, and spent my time doing more meaningful things.
