There is no such thing as draws in TCGs. There is slow players and/or people who refuse to concede. I've seen actual stalemates once in a blue moon. All draws should be double losses.

Here's the list i piloted to top 2 at #RQSYDNEY I have nothing bad to say about the deck, completely blew every expectation I had out of the water. The only limiting factor was my individual skill as a player. Will be taking what I learned and running it back at Vancouver

@PEKatchouze Ok. Do this. Flip one card in a stack of 40 cards. You can see clearly where in your deck that card is. Your opponent cutting or shuffling the deck doesn’t change that orientation. Then he can play around knowing how much he has to dig to get the card.

I was actually casting this live with a current Magic Pro Tour and Worlds competitor and we both almost instantly agreed that this was very VERY likely a coincidence. Think about it, Rico’s not dumb and most likely very aware that due to the Freebuke episode, people will be watching him more than others. Say it was intentionnal to flip Adaptatron, what exact advantage would you gain from it ? Considering opponent has the last rifle and last cut of your deck, you probably at best figure out in which half of your deck adaptatron is. Is that enough of an advantage for you to take the risk of a game lost/DQ/… knowing you’re on probation ? I’d say definitely not worth it 🤷🏻‍♂️

J’ai revu les images à froid (hors cast) et je double down, il faut arrêter cette chasse aux sorcières ridicule. Rico est un MONSTRE, l’un des joueurs les plus réguliers en Chine, qui est sorti de sa zone de confort (voyage jusqu’à Sidney alors que Major en Chine) et qui a prouvé à tous qu’il n’avait peur de personne 😤 Oui, il a des antécédents, mais soyons réalistes 2 secondes. Ne pas payer une carte en stream et espérer que personne ne s’en rende compte ? Double down face aux judges qui te demandent si tu as bien payé ? Le risque n’en vaut pas la chandelle. Je ne peux pas croire UNE seconde que ça ne soit pas une erreur honnête. Et surtout, quelle analyse, quelle compréhension du jeu. Il était au dessus de la mêlée ce week-end, de la même manière qu’@AlanzqTFT avait un temps d’avance sur tout le monde a Bologne, et le nom de Rico mérite de figurer sur cette liste. Une nouvelle légende est en train de naître et au lieu de la célébrer, on cherche à savoir si une carte a l’envers te fait gagner des matchs de niveau … 🫠 Prochain objectif = le croiser IRL, je crois que j’ai besoin d’une photo #Freebuke pour ma bannière 🥸

I was thinking about this, clearly this is bandage solution that gives very solid value upgrade for top64. However eventually i expect tickets to be replaced with promos that will hold less value than metals. Hopefully we as community will be able to appreciate the positive changes without crying over losing the EV
