@4nsmiley Careful. Post an early photo like this, and people will start sharing it and say, "LOL! Look, nobody showed up!"

@galaxygash He basically took Steve Ditko's The Question and ramped his Objectivist worldview up to 11.

The reason Rorschach is one of the most beloved comic book characters of all time is that Alan Moore put everything he hated into him, he sculpted him in the image of what disgusted him the most and Alan Moore is, to put it simply, a vile fucking human. At its core, what he hates is the very concept of "good" thus his creation in the image of his ire is profoundly "good". He has never self-reflected on this fact and never will, he physically can't comprehend that he's the bad guy in all of his stories. Fuck Alan Moore, Watchmen is good in spite of him.

After weeks of speculation, Lindstrom has finally announced that he will be re-entering the Nebraska governor's race. (And I've been saving this photo here for just such an occasion.) plains-sentinel.com/p/breaking-lin…

Can we PLEASE normalize men approaching women again? Like... where are all the confident, respectful, emotionally mature men? Why doesn't anybody just come talk to me anymore? Not like the creep at the bookstore yesterday, obviously. He walked over while I was looking at a book and said, "Excuse me, I couldn't help but notice you're reading one of my favorite authors." First of all, why was he WATCHING me? Second? How long had he been watching me before he decided to speak? CREEPY! Third? How did he know what book I was holding? Ladies, always be aware of your surroundings. And then there was the guy at the grocery store who handed me a piece of paper with his phone number. Excuse me? So you're just walking around with your phone number already written down? Looking for victims? That's not suspicious at all. Then he just left. So now I DON'T KNOW WHERE HE IS. He could be ANYWHERE, totally hiding waiting to murder me because I didn't immediately add his number to my phone. Totally normal behavior. Last week a guy held the door open for me. Why? What was his endgame? Trapping me inside the building so he could steal my kidneys to organ thieves? No thanks! Another smiled at me while I was walking my dog. My dog. So now he knows I have a dog. Fantastic. Honestly, dating is impossible. Men never approach women anymore.

Mark Kolterman, a Republican and former state senator representing District 24, walked with Democrat Lynne Walz in Seward's Independence Day parade. I spoke with him yesterday about his decision. plains-sentinel.com/p/former-gop-s…

@MrOvis_ Dawkins was born and lived in Nairobi for the first 8 years of his life before moving back to England with his family where they settled in Oxfordshire. Shapiro was born and raised in Los Angeles County, California. Whatever you're smoking, stop.

Ben Shapiro actually had a great point about this during his debate with Richard Dawkins. He asked Dawkins to explain the basis of his morality, Dawkins explains that he's looked into various ethics and philosophies and eastern mysticism and such. Ben replies that he has done none of that, but they agree on 99% of things, which probably has to do with the fact that they grew up in the same state extremely close to each other. Humans are not beings of utter rationality, basically nobody but true psychopaths actually derive their morality from a logical basis, everyone actually is bathed in a soup of their upbringing that they carry with them their whole life.

@HockeyDad2AandZ I'm sure they aren't being paid. Each side has a dedicated faction in the grassroots, and these ones represent the left. And they're organized. I overheard some at a previous event planning to sit on opposite sides of the theater to make their numbers appear larger.

Mike Flood hosted another combative town hall, this time in Bellevue, with a team of “Pissed Off Grammas” in attendance — and a protester in an inflatable frog costume. I was there, and I have on-the-ground details that you won’t read anywhere else. plains-sentinel.com/p/mike-flood-h…

@lewis_lewisms @USRepMikeFlood @Flood4Nebraska The key word here is "literally." The people booing and heckling placed themselves on the far sides of the theater to make their numbers appear more substantial by spreading out. There were plenty of supporters, again literally, in the middle of the room.

@rightcheer @USRepMikeFlood @Flood4Nebraska Well now, that’s a word salad worthy of Kamala Harris! Lots of words that say nothing factually. What subjects/opinions are defined as “in the middle”. Who judges what the middle is? What makes up the “fringe” & who defined that?🤷‍♂️

I'm attending a town hall with @USRepMikeFlood in Bellevue. Being here in person, I can see in the theater that his supporters are, quite literally, in the middle, while those who are angry with him are loud and on the fringe. @Flood4Nebraska

America celebrated its 250th birthday with fireworks and parades here in Omaha. I met with several candidates and elected officials on Saturday and asked them all one question: “What does it mean to you to be an American?” Read their responses here: plains-sentinel.com/p/america-250-…

Warm and muggy afternoon in Ralston for its Independence Day parade, now in its 66th year. And as usual, many candidates running for office among the parade entries this year.

AI is harmful because all it does is take creative content that's already been made and remixes it into a new form, pretending that it's something new and original. Which is totally different from what the film and music industries do already.

There is an animated show on Netflix called ‘The Amazing Digital Circus’ It is rated TV- PG, so as a parent would think it would be safe for kids Just this episode shows a character asking for sex, giving a gun to another character for suicide and another character shooting another character You need to pay attention to this rating system, TV-PG stands for parental guidance recommend Many parents would just see the PG and automatically assume it’s safe, especially considering it’s an animated show that looks like it’s for kids

I crossed the river into Iowa today and got to hear from Rob Sand, the Democratic nominee for governor. The Democrats are truly a party of split personalities this year. On one hand, you have candidates like Sand playing to the middle and claiming both sides are the problem. On the other, hard-left Democratic Socialists are winning primaries against establishment Democrats in Colorado and New York.
