@CleanerBen @ddlovato With that said, it's not a big ask to call someone by their pronouns, you're a jerk if someone politely asks this of you and you refuse. Where I draw the line is policing this language (that's taking it too far)

@CleanerBen @ddlovato "Sex" is the binary component (with the exception of intersex individuals, which is pretty rare), and "gender" is the social/cultural construct. Pronouns are a reflection of that construct. So in this way we can look at pronouns as "names". It's not scientific.

@CleanerBen @ddlovato As someone that didn't really understand what Non-Binary (NB, enby) meant going into this news, and what I'm seeing is a big confusion among the people criticizing people who identify this way, is that "sex" and "gender" are separate definitions.
