I've said before that failing to handle the Legato story is a failure. because how a victim becomes a perpetrator and how to deal with such a person is Vash's most important challenge. Trigun Stargaze is meaningless to me now.

Legato is supposed to be the one human Vash kills and the one human Knives can’t get himself to kill. Great job Orange interpreting the source material.

the whole symbolism of knives NOT killing him was so damn important. not only when they met but also when he crushed his spin down. he kept sparing him. legato was NOT supposed to die at his hand. why did they downplay his character, his only trait is literally "vash" here? ugh
