@financialfree42 Close-knit communities, extended families, etc. did a lot of heavy lifting. With the new atomic families and everyone moving everywhere, raising children is left to only 2 parents.

Hey, Claude. I don't care that the bug is pre-existing. Fix it.

@ellev3n11 Well done for producing a good model. But people regard Opus 4.6 at such a high degree (and rightfully so) that Opus, is the benchmark of benchmarks. So either the benchmarks are flawed, or the model was benchmaxxed and isn't as good in real world use.

We want to encourage local development and experimentation with the Agent SDK and claude -p. If you’re building a business on top of the Agent SDK, you should use an API key instead. We’ll make sure that’s clearer in our docs.

@Be_Believing This happens in Germany all the time. I was carrying two big bags one on each hand, and a person stood up from his chair to open the door for me. So that I don't have to drop any of the bags?! I was speechless. And this is so contagious. I'm a professional door opener now

Watch this video. If you read between the lines, I don't think the govt wanted the deal to work. Just watch the CEO, it's clear this is not a company you want to work with. I wouldn't be surprised if he's replaced before they IPO. youtu.be/MPTNHrq_4LU?si…

@ibuildthecloud @jetpack_john > The entire conflict between Anthropic and the DoW is about control. It is not. It is about the tech not being used for: - Mass domestic surveillance and - Fully autonomous weapons

@rinormaloku @jetpack_john Absolutely no one has said they want to use AI for autonomous weapons. If we can't agree on that point there's not much discussion here. Nobody want AI killing people autonomously. The entire conflict between Anthropic and the DoW is about control.

@ibuildthecloud @jetpack_john You're taking a position without knowing what "supply chain risk" means. Meanwhile there's a concrete example you can look up. You're reading between the lines of Dario. But taking government officials at face value when it suits you, and dismissing them when it doesn't...

I think the tweets that are flying around and being published by our national leaders are completely abhorrent. I can't comment on the tone and style. I don't agree with them. I'll only comment on the actions being taken. Once I see the actual designation I'll make some judgement. Trump is clearly a very vindictive and punitive person. I'm not ok with that. He says a lot of crap, and most of it is that. In another day it can all change. I don't really know that the difference between call them a supply chain risk vs not doing business with them really matters beyond emotional impact. The end result is that Anthropic just doesn't do business with the govt, by their choice.

@ibuildthecloud @jetpack_john This tech doesn't have the common sense of a child. It cannot be trusted with autonomous weapons. Adding that to a contract is a no-brainer. Opposing it is foolish.

@ibuildthecloud @jetpack_john Punish them because they know how unreliable this tech is? Putting aside your false claims.. you work in this space. You've heard of prompt injection. Imagine someone raising a board saying "They lied to you, we are the Americans" and the weapon turns back and shoots its own folk

@ibuildthecloud @gaieges There's a question waiting for you in the other thread. I'd be happy to see at least one concrete argument, not claims about what is or isn't lawful, as though you're the arbiter of that.

@ibuildthecloud @jetpack_john Can you explain the gap between "we don't agree on contract terms" and "we will make you radioactive to every business in America"? Because the contract theory doesn't do it.

@ibuildthecloud @jetpack_john if this really is just a contract disagreement, they'd walk away from the deal. Instead they designated Anthropic a supply chain risk, ordered every federal agency to drop them, and told all military contractors to cut ties. An existential threat to Anthropic.
