But people regard Opus 4.6 at such a high degree (and rightfully so) that Opus, is the benchmark of benchmarks. So either the benchmarks are flawed, or the model was benchmaxxed and isn't as good in real world use.

I think the tweets that are flying around and being published by our national leaders are completely abhorrent. I can't comment on the tone and style. I don't agree with them. I'll only comment on the actions being taken. Once I see the actual designation I'll make some judgement. Trump is clearly a very vindictive and punitive person. I'm not ok with that. He says a lot of crap, and most of it is that. In another day it can all change. I don't really know that the difference between call them a supply chain risk vs not doing business with them really matters beyond emotional impact. The end result is that Anthropic just doesn't do business with the govt, by their choice.
