#NTE Look, as someone who enjoys open world games, the one thing that breaks my immersion is feeling like I’m interacting in a lifeless world. It doesn’t matter how big the world is if nothing is happening in it. It shouldn’t have taken NTE for people to finally wake up to this. I want to feel like I’m not the only one alive in this huge space and that the people I encounter express themselves out in the world. You get that silly little teapot realm in Genshin and all the customization, for what? The characters you put in it are nothing more than statues. They don’t interact with your creations. That’s why I never truly bothered when I was playing. Oh but I invite Nanally to live in one of my apartments in NTE, and the first thing she does is jump onto the bed, start hopping around excitedly, then jumps and falls splayed on top of the bed before rolling into a sleeping position. I fucking MELTED seeing that. It made me happy seeing her like that. Being able to do an ear-cleaning interaction with Mint was cool too. And can we talk about them changing clothes when they move in? Like, I can’t wait to see them add more characters to invite into your living spaces. It makes me actually WANT to put effort into arranging my properties. Details like this are why NTE is going to do well, so long as Hotta/PFG lock in and commit.
