Meet Rakhi Kashyap. She got her gun licence in 2024, and since then became famous on social media as "Pistol Wali Rakhi." Fifteen days ago, she shot and killed her boyfriend with her licenced handgun. What’s crazier is that 10 days later, she was murdered by the same accomplice who had helped her kill her boyfriend. Her licenced handgun was seized five months earlier (November 2025) after she allegedly shot her boyfriend once before. Yet, it was later returned to her via court order. Twice married, both relationships failed, a turbulent personal life and now a chain of violence ending in two deaths. So who's responsible? The DM who issued the licence? The judge who ordered the weapon returned? @Benarasiyaa Licensed guns are allowed in India in checked in baggage as long as it's unloaded, packed correctly & also declared at checkin. Dubai also allows it as long as prior permission is taken & a fee is paid

He was awarded the Vrc posthumously. It was great to meet the boys and ex servicemen and fondly remember those days. The Steely Sixth had earned two MVCs in 1947- 48. Brig Rajinder singh MVC had saved J&k valley by Blowing up the Uri bridge and delaying the Pakistanis for crucial 72 hours in which J&K acceded to India and the Indian army flew in. The second MVC was to Brig Sher jang Thapa who Fought the siege of Skardu for six long months of a most heroic stand. We got one MVC and 3 Vrcs . only 48 men came out of that siege in Skardu. We must now take back Gilgit and Skardu. It belongs to us. My battalion defended it in 1947- 48. We had too few men then. Turns out I was just a little behind India. India watched and wept. Then his parents gave interviews. They said she was married for only five months. That she had no children. That she had walked away with the money. That she should marry their younger son if she wanted to stay in the family. The internet turned on Smriti overnight. Gold digger. Opportunist. Not a real wife. Anshuman had named Smriti as his next of kin in his own will. His legal right. His choice. The Army confirmed this. The pension went to her because he chose her. She did not speak. She did not retaliate. She had lost her husband after two months of marriage. She stood alone at Rashtrapati Bhavan. She accepted his medal. She stayed silent when India called her a criminal for it. People underestimate how much purchasing power civilian firearm owners have in India, even though they represent a relatively small minority. The market is already evolving fast. My prediction: within the next five years, most civilian handguns will come factory-ready with optic cuts designed for red dot sights (RDS) as a standard feature. This among many other things! I transferred 3 bighas of my land in my daughter-in-law's name. They have kept car of my son. Our jewellery worth 55-60 lacs is with her. We never refused to give maintenance. They have taken divorce because they don't want us to have any presence in the life of our grandson. They have cut us off completely. My son was told to agree for divorce forgetting even visitation rights. We agreed to their demands thinking if this brings peace then let it be - but we were wrong to have trusted them. They have violated the consent terms of the mutual consent divorce and my family is being shamed all over India now. My wife can't stop crying because of this humiliation. My son doesn't know how to deal with his photos and his unit details being spread all over social media.

While US Air Force has equipped its downed pilots in Iran with GAU-5A (compact, takedown 5.56×45mm rifle that fits inside an ejection seat and can be assembled in seconds), India is still relying on imported standard-issue sidearms. During the 2019 India–Pakistan aerial engagement, Wg Cdr Abhinandan was reportedly carrying a Glock 26, chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum. At the very least, our pilots should have domestically designed, duty-grade striker-fired service handgun with modern ergonomics, if not a compact, rapidly deployable takedown rifle system.
