Significant Development: Pakistan has deployed the 25 Mechanised Division (THE CHARGING BULL DIVISION) — based at Malir Cantonment, Karachi and part of Karachi Corps — to the Yemen border area in Saudi Arabia under the Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement (SMDA). 2. This elite desert warfare formation, primarily equipped and oriented for mechanised operations in desert terrain against India, is now reinforcing Saudi border security. 3. The move signals that the division is being employed against a southern territorial threat — most likely Houthi/Yemeni incursions in KSA's deserts — rather than any eastern scenario involving Iran. 3. By relocating this specialised unit, a temporary void is created in Karachi Corps' offensive defence capabilities. However, other armoured and mechanised assets within the Southern Command can effectively cover the role with a significant loss of offensive capabilities. 4.
