I just saw our local TMC leader marching in a BJP victory rally. Local TMC cadres are already shifting to the BJP. Honestly, I don’t think the party can mount a strong opposition to these forces.

Mamata Banerjee lost Bhabanipur by 16,000 votes in 2026, just as Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee was defeated in Jadavpur by 16,000 votes in 2011. Poetic Justice!?

Pandit Kishori Lal, one of many “conveniently forgotten” freedom fighters, was deported to the cellular jail for the Lahore Conspiracy Case of the HSRA and never wrote a mercy petition. Later, he joined the Communist Party of India and became president of the AITUC's Punjab unit.

Communists vs. Nationalists Hare Krishna Konar, one of many “conveniently forgotten” freedom fighters, was just 18 when he was deported to the Cellular Jail and never wrote a mercy petition. Later, he became the founding member of the CPI(M). (A thread🧵)
