@ritarobinzine I’m not dividing anything. If Talarico wants Black voter turnout up he will need to deliver specific things in exchange for that. The Black vote isn’t free. You never get something for nothing.

A Republican isn't going to fight for that but Cornyn & Paxton don't need Black votes.Talarico does.Fighting against vouchers is excellent policy that I support 100% but that is separate from a SPECIFIC skilled trade initiative for Black Americans in TX similar to migrant policy.

@oh_HOLMES We need to be energized to get the best people in office to fight for us. Talarico is the best choice compared to the other two. Get him and others like him to the Senate, THEN make your demands. Dividing the black vote at a critical time like this is crazy work.

@ritarobinzine The key at this stage is energizing Black voters enough in this state so they turn it to vote which addresses lots of what we are discussing. Until Dems figure out how to do that everything else is irrelevant.

@oh_HOLMES They are taking away our right to vote right here in Georgia! You can't get reparations with a Republican lead Congress, Supreme Court, and president. Please think long term and for the greater good. Get Democrats in power first, then push your agenda. Strategize like they do.

@ritarobinzine I may discuss it but what’s done is done. The goal and focus should be on Dems picking up the GA House, Senate, and Gov office in order to then push back on this stuff. Talking about it isn’t doing anything. The bill is signed into law.

James Talarico’s got a clear policy on his site to help construction firms hire more migrants. Latinos have a lane, but where’s the policy for Black American Texans’ skilled trade advancement and engagement🧐? I’m asking the same question every Black American voter in TX should.

Indeed. I had a long talk with a Black woman from the Collier Heights neighborhood who voted for Bottoms for Mayor. She is in the Thurmond camp. Many Black women who live in Atlanta city limits are not supporting Bottoms. Many of these women backed her Mayoral campaign.
