India played on extremely batting friendly pitches in bilateral series leading up to the T20 World Cup 2026 and it was all easy going for the batters. They were just hitting through the line and making batting look ridiculously easy. But the moment T20 World Cup started, the pitches were balanced and that’s where all the problems started and Indian batters started struggling. The fearless approach that was the biggest X-factor for India, suddenly became a weakness. However, I don’t think it’s all over for India because this team can do the unthinkable on their day. But it’s a big concern that we are in a spot where even the semi-final spot is unsure and all the questions that are being asked are valid. Head Coach @GautamGambhir has a massive task ahead and if there’s anyone who can motivate this team to turn things around, it’s him. He’s done that as a player, and he’s also done that as a mentor. Cricket gyaan: Indian cricket fans can be very fickle: till yesterday the men in blue were considered INVINCIBLES.. one bad day and we are suddenly seen as a team in shambles. Truth be told, NO team is invincible (esp in a T 20 format) nor do you suddenly become a bad team because of one loss. Part of winning a big tournament at home is handling PRESSURE. We are the best team in the T 20 World Cup but the tournament will be won by the team that plays the high pressure moments best. South Africa were terrific yesterday but don’t forget the same team almost lost to Afghanistan. So stop targeting coach @GautamGambhir @surya_14kumar and the players every time we lose.
