#Lasttweet This might come as a surprise if you have read my tweets earlier on LLM, but during the last massive month's iteration cycles and refinement of our in-house SLM, using some novel techniques for a few specific use cases, we've realized something that we were ignoring: "we don't have a mote anymore." "AGI may not be possible, but the destruction of the workforce demand is imminent in a knowledge based services economy." The "secret" isn't a secret anymore and the time horizon is 12 months at max; from where you will see the large scale impact on yourself, your friends, acquaintances and family members. "Building models with orchestration of strong guardrails in few specific domains, where the hallucination problem can be properly mitigated or even eliminated, is now very much achievable." An economy like ours stands at both its highest risk and its biggest opportunity. It's not the government that will decide the initial round of this war of the services sector flight from this country; it's the path that private individuals and companies choose to take. But at some point, cheap energy in a country will be the only arbitrage left, not labor arbitrage, on which the entire Indian services sector is built. DMs will always be open to friends; but every minute spent on Twitter is missing the train while it's gathering pace. Very, very humbling, I must say… 🙏🏿🙏🏿 #bye #bye

@Gaz1078944Gaz @SamaHoole Dude, are you tweeting from the graveyard? Don’t start digging your grave in that flat area..😂 A hill is a better spot anyway, at least if they skip the casket, you can contribute to soil health and future terrace farming. 😁😁..

Britain has 17.5 million hectares of agricultural land. 65% of it cannot grow a single crop. Too thin. Too high. Too wet. Too steep. The kind of slope where a tractor becomes a story they tell in the village pub for generations. It grows grass. Because grass is what evolved to grow there. The cow eats the grass. The sheep eats the grass. Your stomach cannot eat the grass. Take the ruminants off and the food production from that land becomes zero. Not lower. Zero. The ruminant is not blocking a better option. The ruminant is the only option. The activist who wants the ruminant removed is not reducing meat consumption. He is outsourcing it. To Brazilian feedlots on cleared rainforest, shipped six thousand miles in a refrigerated container. The British hill goes to bracken. The Amazon goes to soy. The supermarket label changes from Hereford to Mato Grosso. This is presented as the ethical position. It is the most expensively packaged self-deception in modern politics.

This is exactly what @TheNavroopSingh & I have been saying. The spread is managed. It is not real. The bond spread is managed. Ir is not real. The disaster is close that’s why despite billions flushed in management- the number is still moving vertical. The US is not doing the world a favour by allowing Russian. Minus it, the models won’t be able to predict probabilities. Russian is necessary to maintain sanity. This is after US is emptying SPR. Countries are already buying oil in Yuan. Ships are passing Hormuz after permission. Countries would defy sanctions if Russian was not allowed. So … no one believes the spread.

🎥 Oil Markets Are Dangerously Complacent About What’s Coming — Commodities Veteran Jeff Currie Jeff Currie, former Goldman Sachs global head of commodities research and now senior adviser at Carlyle, warns financial markets are catastrophically underestimating the oil crisis building beneath the Iran war. 📌 “You’re borrowing oil from the future”: “There’s a big difference between a deficit and a shortage. We’re in a deficit. Demand is above supply. We are drawing inventories.” U.S. distillate inventories have already fallen to 102 days of supply from 120 just weeks ago. Gulf Coast tank bottoms sit around 200–220 million barrels. “If you get below 220, you’re already in a pretty tricky situation. We’re not that far away.” 📌 “You’re going to have to feel it”: Currie says the inflection point where deficit becomes outright shortage could arrive within days: “If you’re at 102, you’re going to feel it like any day.” 📌 The Strait of Hormuz may not be forceable open: “All you need is a guy with a rocket launcher and some drones. There’s no way you’re gonna force that thing open.” He pointed to the Red Sea, where after two years of bombing Yemen, shipping traffic remains down roughly 75%. 📌 “The whole Bretton Woods architecture is done”: Currie argues the closure of Hormuz shatters the core bargain underpinning dollar dominance: U.S. protection of global trade routes in exchange for the world using the dollar system. “Who’s ever going to trust them again?” (Video from Official Energy Aspects. @Puyangan5 They started with the electric bus funding and then some idiot decided to give it Per-Kilometer Operational Subsidies at a fixed rate; not fund the capex on the bus by metro city. The center could have easily consolidated the procurement and allocated through MOU..

Govt wakes up to importance of EVs after the crisis hits. We consume roughly 1 mb/d of petrol. Assume 100% of the cars starting now are EVs. Guess how much will petrol consumption come down by? Not more than 10%. That is <2% of total crude oil consumption. That is why you need plan for all this well in advance. Like China did. Not lock the barn after the horse has not just bolted, it has left the city.

China already operates ASML's DUV machines and also have enhanced the capabilities of their older DUV machines to squeeze out chips upto 7nm. What they lack is the EUV machines from ASML, since the export ban is in place from the US. Though the enhanced machines are able to produce 7nm chips, it comes with a trade off, upto 40% increased cost per chip in comparison to those of TSMC, and low yield of 20%. Also, Chinese have brought in former engineers (most likely of Chinese origin) of ASML who worked on EUV lithography machines, to build their own indigenous EUV tech.
Himanshu Jain@HemanNamo

Tweet 1/7 China wasted $100 BILLION trying to steal this tech. Failed completely. India got it in ONE MoU — signed while TWO Prime Ministers watched. This ASML-Tata deal is the biggest game-changer of the week for Bharat. Why it’s historic 👇 Thread 🧵🇮🇳

China’s progress is real. But “7nm achieved” and “mass-producing competitive 7nm at scale” are two very different things. DUV multi-patterning can brute-force 7nm. EUV is what makes it economically viable, high-yield, and scalable. That’s the difference between: • proving capability vs • dominating the global semiconductor market. China is closing the gap technologically. But TSMC still leads on yield, efficiency, ecosystem, and scale.
