Then I remembered reading in the docs about cache: 'no-store'. I had seen it before, but honestly didn’t pay much attention to it at the time. Went back, read that section properly, added cache: 'no-store' header to the fetch call for transaction history and that fixed it.

The fix was sitting in the docs I had skimmed before. Transaction was successfull — DB was updating, the API returned success, everything looked good on the server side. But when the user checked the transaction history right after… it wasn’t there. The table didn’t update.
