wccm.org/news/watch-now… Very strong lecture for 60 min followed by Q&A for 60 min. Reminds me of Van Morrison singing the Healing Has Begun. Bravo Tim Shriver!

The premiers and I spoke today. In the face of our immediate trade pressures, we’re focused on building strength at home. That means launching big nation-building projects, removing internal trade barriers, and building one Canadian economy. We agreed to meet in Saskatoon on June 2 to keep that work going — and keep building Canada strong.

@davidsirota CAN ANYONE WIN IN THE CONTEXT OF THE MASTER PLAN’S SUCCESS. MONEY RULES AMERICAN POLITICS. BERNIE NEEDS A SYSTEM THAT DOES NOT DEPEND SO MUCH ON MONEY AS BOTH PARTIES MUST DO NOW. YOUR PODCAST ON MASTER PLAN ILLUMINATES THE STRUCTURE

The reason Bernie Sanders isn't president is because Democratic Party leaders successfully catalyzed party voters to back Hillary in 2016, and then in 2020 he refused to make a strong enough case against Biden & the same Democratic leaders then catalyzed party voters to back Biden. Perhaps the crowds at his rallies right now suggest more party voters will (finally) be more willing to support an anti-oligarchy candidate in the future. It's hard to predict. We will see.

The whole point of people mad at health companies is that murder is wrong, whether with a gun or a spreadsheet. No one’s cheering the killer, the sentiment is that we should condemn all forms of murder.

The comments on a @benshapiro video defending insurers.. “As someone who, for the first time, voted Republican, Shapiro is making me think I made a mistake. He wants us to defend billionaires who make money by denying coverage to their policyholders.” youtu.be/uJC_2zh21YI

@mattyglesias @matthewstoller I don't think it's praiseworthy if it is also combined with negative major policy potential. Billionaires using money to elevate their policy desires is bad. It is corrosive to the democratic system, and to the social fabric.

@davidsirota You know what I think about a lot? As a Midwesterner that has studied both literature and history my entire life? The fact that David Foster Wallace hung himself on September 12, 2008.

I tried to warn everyone. I managed to get him to let me spend a day with him and interview him. I was ex-communicated from The Party for then daring to write this. Which is fine. I'm still glad I wrote it. Look at the date. I called it. thenation.com/article/archiv…
