Folks, a couple of key updates from @Alex_T_Weinert over on the Microsoft Entra blog. Converged Authentication Methods is now GA 🥳. Today you can configure these settings in three different places and you will find it hard to figure out which one takes precedence (IYDK it's the Legacy MFA). We are consolidating all of this into one blade. The deadline to migrate to the new blade is September 2024 but you don't need to wait! You can switch over today and enjoy the benefits of managing all MFA and SSPR methods in one place. One of the new things you can do with the converged auth methods blade is that you can target changes by group. So, you can start doing things like excluding your Global admin and other privileged accounts from registering weak MFA methods like SMS and Voice! You can also start trailing FIDO2 security keys with a pilot group of users etc. Read the blog post for all the details. 👇🏾
