@rebecca__maurer This captures a great deal of what I struggle with in my work. We want people to work & work harder & then work even harder. We blame them & frown upon them for wanting to live; for wanting fun. I’m outside #cle, but TY for wanting ppl to thrive, not just survive.

Probably one of my favorite moments on Council so far was having a basketball whiz over my head at the end of this press conference because the kids were so excited to play.
Cleveland deserves joy. Kids deserve safe places to play. And this was a great project to get done.

After more than a decade of being shuttered to the public, the gym at the old South High School is officially open once again! It's taken months of partnership to get this gym re-opened and I'm truly thankful for partnership between Safety, Rec, and Council to make it happen
