Penalizing Constable Helen Grus would send a message to Ottawa cops that they "should no longer be police officers, and be political puppets," warned Bath-Sheba van den Berg, Grus's lawyer. It would "chill" police discretion/initiative related to political/controversial matters.

...self-enrichment. There was no abuse of police authority on Helen Grus's part for "personal reasons" (a term used by the prosecutor and consecrated by the tribunal officer, Chris Renwick, in his March 2025 finding of Grus as guilty of the charge of discreditable conduct).

Police officers found guilty of discreditable conduct by internal disciplinary tribunals were essentially always motivated to engage in misconduct for personal reasons that serve their personal interests: usually financially and/or relationally. For example, abuse of authority...

Punishing Detective Helen Grus would send a message to police officers that "proactive investigation into politically sensitive and controversial ... issues may result in discipline rather than support [and would] undermine police initiative," Bath-Sheba van den Berg says.

Punishing Detective Helen Grus would facilitate the imposition of a "managerial permission regime" across the Ottawa Police Service, and would "place public safety at risk," Bath-Sheba van den Berg says of the OPS's persecution of her client.

Essentially all levels of government - from municipal to federal, and all subsidiary agencies - are culpable of criminal negligence causing harm and death given that they mandated mRNA injections marketed as "COVID-19 vaccines" via coercion and dis/misinformation.

All women who accept these roles that they know they're unqualified for are complicit in this immoral and unethical subversion of merit in order to advance the wicked lie and optical illusion that is sexual equality wrapped up as "feminism" and "diversity".

Having a woman command Canada's Armed Forces (CAF) is an insult to the intelligence of any thinking Canadian, as it is intended to be. Under no circumstances can a woman be the best qualified person, in a meritocratic and competitive environment, to lead a national military.

Punishing Helen Grus would send a clear signal to those in law enforcement that informal political sacraments (dogmatic mantras such as "safe and effective" and "trust the science") mustn't be questioned, and if they are, The Machine will seek to destroy dissidents.

Punishing Helen Grus for taking initiative to inquire about dangers of "COVID-19 vaccines" to pregnant women and unborn children would "chill" police officers' willingness to investigate de facto political sacred cows, Bath-Sheba van den Berg notes.

The Ottawa Police Service's persecution of Detective Helen Grus amounts to "a reprisal for whistleblowing," Bath-Sheba van den Berg, Grus's lawyer, says. She was inquiring about a matter related to "life, health, and public safety concerns at the highest level."

Helen Grus's lack of personal benefit/gain via her inquiries (determined to be an "unauthorized project/investigation" by the tribunal) severs her actions, at least in terms of motivations, from previous police misconduct cases cited by the prosecutor. x.com/i/status/20568…

"I did not benefit from this," Constable Helen Grus testifies during the penalty phase of her disciplinary tribunal with the Ottawa Police Service. She notes that she has lost about $400,000 across this entire process, adding, "[I received] no personal gain in what happened."

In other words, my earlier emphasis on the lack of personal benefit for Helen Grus through her actions which were deemed to constitute "discreditable conduct" was somewhat prescient given the prosecution's current arguments in favor of the Ottawa Police Service's desired penalty.

Prosecutor Jessica Barrow lists penalties historically levied against other police officers found guilty of discreditable conduct in making her argument that Detective Helen Grus should be demoted for a 24-month period following Grus being found guilty of discreditable conduct.
