Today, my mom ran straight into my dad’s arms. After 20 long months apart, she is finally with him again this time forever. I said “ran” for a reason. Because now she moves without limits, without pain, without heartbreak… only joy. Joy in being reunited with the love of her life. Even though she’s been surrounded by her siblings, her children, her grandchildren, and so many people who adored her since Pops passed, a piece of her heart has been missing. And today, that missing piece is whole again. I know she left knowing we’ll be okay. And knowing that she and Dad are together, watching over us, side by side, brings a comfort that softens the hurt. So Mom and Dad… hold hands, stay close, and never let go. We love you, we will always love you, and we will forever be grateful for the love you poured into us. Rest now. My son Mac was a remarkable young man, full of talent, heart, and purpose. An incredible musician and composer, in 2018 Mac was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer and our family entered a journey that none of us could have prepared for.
