I don't like talking about Vegas as a whole cause I decided to mentally block that can of worms, but I can open up a little about this experience. I've been a victim of unwanted sexual comments, requests, and being demanded both contact and kisses. I tried downplaying it and assimilate it as "her behavior" because I was aware about how overly sexual she was online, so it didn't surprise me given the environment she would behave like that. I denied all the requests in multiple instances and made it clear that I wasn't interested. It felt really uncomfortable getting shouted to do it anyways, but I knew she wouldn't push further so I wasn't scared. A thing I want to point out was the lack of reaction of the group towards her behavior. I'll take part of the blame in saying that I could've stopped this by calling it out while it was happening. I'm deeply sorry. I felt like couldn't, like I was the only one that wasn't engaging in it and calling it out would end up in me getting segregated. I like to think a lot of the people there might've been on the same spot as me. I'm not making this post for sympathy points or to jump on a bandwagon, but rather to get a point across. Be responsible of your friends. Once somebody in your circle starts misbehaving, it's compliance to not stop them. At the time I felt powerless, and I'd like to think I would've stopped it if somebody closer to me did it, but I don't know...
