@rlv003 @rawsalerts What we have found from the last time this happened: (aka 2016) rather than move production back to the U.S. the companies just went with a higher price for consumers. Increasing prices an average of 30% thus seeing a 5% year over year profit.

To promote free trade and that was mostly after WW2. That’s good but to a point. We have gotten to a point where it’s cheaper to make stuff out of the US which has reduced significantly the amount of production we actually do. The point in tariffs aren’t to just make things more expensive but to promote companies to produce more in the US
