Beyond blatantly calling this an “internet troll”. Look deeper, you will realise that this is an art performance.
I kept coming back to this interesting thought: perception precedes reality. Digital data consumption is how modern civilisation thinks and remembers now.
We externalised a huge part of human cognition into the digital infrastructure, and also becoming more dependent on it.
Since when do we stopped second-guessing and start rejecting from a biased standpoint?

What's really insane is that someone had to prompt this model to mock up a video that looks like the kind of stiff animation you'd see in a video game rather than just generate fluid, lifelike video that it PRODUCES BY DEFAULT

This is absolutely insane 🫠 People are yearning for a LOTR game like this. We’ve somehow normalized waiting 2 years for 6 episodes of a TV show and a decade for a game sequel. Imagine getting a new GTA game every year. AI will replace the bottlenecks, not human direction.

I love this question! Board games are very old but the oldest games (royal game of Ur, Senet) appear to be mostly-random racing/gambling games.
In the 1800s we get "modern" board games but it took 100 years to get past roll-and-move mechanics inherited from the bronze age. Why?
