@neaa44 macOS has become considerably more annoying than any windows version ever in regards to permission management and authentication — not that *I* think it's annoying, it has never bothered me on Windows and it's mostly fine on Mac.

@dihydroxyestra it truly baffles me that APPLE is the one using native WinUI for all their windows applications while Microsoft just makes everything a webapp. Every single social media app on the Ms store is a webapp.

@tgod34748 I believe you have to insert your mac's serial number to be able to buy any parts, so you actually would need a Mac mini to build a Mac mini

Actually I wonder:
Can someone try and make an entire Mac mini using nothing but the parts from Self Service Repair?
Obviously, it wouldn’t make any financial sense, given the prices of parts on the SSR store, but it would be interesting.

Shoutout to Apple for designing products that last 5+ years without the endless fear of data corruption!
NAND Failure on my 14” causing it to Kernal Panic due to the SEP failing to initialize. Boots half the time and stays awake for all of 30 seconds before shutoff.
