In the 1990s, while everyone around me was choosing careers like engineering and medicine I decided to follow my heart instead…
I pursued a degree in Physics—a subject I loved—and this choice set the stage for an incredible journey.
During college, I ventured into the stock markets just before the Harshad Mehta scandal.
The market crash wiped out my investments, but this setback turned into a pivotal learning experience. It pushed me to pivot and pursue further education.
Earning my MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur opened the door to a promising career at SBI Capital Markets.
My journey took a significant turn when I joined Franklin Templeton under Dr. Mark Mobius. For 18 whole years there, I gained tons of experience investing in public stock markets and also private companies across the world.
Managing both public and private investments gave me a really unique perspective, combining the best of both worlds. Each step was a lesson in the intricacies of global finance.
In 2007, I made my first investment in a startup, igniting my passion for supporting entrepreneurs. This spark grew into a blaze, and by 2017, I transitioned fully into venture capital.
I founded my first fund in 2018 and a second in 2022, each step fueled by a relentless drive to foster innovation.
Throughout my career, adaptability and resilience have been my guiding principles.
Embracing change and finding value in every experience has taught me that success often requires constantly learning new things and having the courage to completely change directions when needed.
Today, I remain committed to fostering innovation and driving success in the ever-evolving landscape of venture capital.
