@SteveOnSpeed We do this. We use the You Need A Budget app to track everything. Everything we buy goes on our Amazon Chase Visa and we treat it effectively like a debit card. Every time we hit $100 in cash back, we cash it in & I invest it in our taxable brokerage, almost monthly.

If you're a responsible person, "never use credit cards" is terrible advice. Always use credit, then pay it off in full every month. The points, rewards, and fraud protection can't be matched with debit, and especially cash.

@retirewithryne We had $100 in cash back $ on our Amazon Chase Visa and cashed it in and bought $50 in $SCHD and spread the other $50 across some of my other stocks. And before anyone says anything, we’ve not carried a credit card balance in at least 15 years. 😎

$SCHD pullback right before the dividend hits? Yes please!🤩 It was 🟢 most of the day… then slid into the close and finished 🔴. And still held up better than the market. But that’s not a bad thing: 💰 Dividend pays Monday 📉 Price just got cheaper Getting paid and, if this pullback holds, getting a better entry at the same time? Picked up some today… and ready to put that dividend right back to work. The marathon continues… Everything’s gonna be alright.
