@LoadyI Closed a few years back. Turned into a community outreach centre, and then torn down. Big demand for curling in the city these days, but crickets from city hall.

What happened to the old club? I’m gone a long time. In the 70s they had some sort of slot machines. My dad worked the bar as a second job there then.

Nope. Hate that line. And I’ve been in that fire boys. And guess what, the best teams find a way, and the rest feel like “it wasn’t their week” Shit happens in sport of course, but winners find a way 🤷🏻♂️

1975 -76 PEI Provincial “Schoolboy” Curling Bonspiel, there were 64 Men’s teams to contest. We all were amazed at the power and precision of the Bill Jenkins team, who would go on to win the World Juniors in 1977!

The Prairies are always seen as a 🥌 hotbed and technically it’s true. Only 2 provinces still run local Tankard qualifiers: MB and QC. Total teams signed up per province:
