A frustrating night in the end. Thought we started very passive and it wasn't until City scored that we had some aggression to our game. Going forward our threat was almost non-existent in the first half including from set pieces which was disappointing. The team talk clearly had an impact as we were much improved in the second half, pressing higher and showing fight. Massive moment came when Thiago found himself through, and it was a bad finish against one of the worlds best and you've got to be taking those chances. As the game wore on, we didn't give much away and it looked like there could be a point in it for us but for some terrible subs. Got to be going for it in the late stages in my opinion and can't be taking off your creative outlets in Henderson and Damsgaard for the less creative Janelt and Onyeka, and whilst I'm in support of the back 5 approach to begin with - you've got to be changing it and going more positive in the last 20 mins if you're a goal behind. If I were Fabio Carvalho, I'd be very frustrated at being thrown on with 2 minutes to change the game - infuriating stuff! DT🖋

@basson68 @BrentfordFC Lineup was good. Some of the subs / timings a bit off, and yes we were off it first half. Credit to City who were very strong. But impressive fight shown by us after the break at least. Also Premier League, not Premiership.

@BrentfordFC Sadly one of the worse performances I seen by the Bees at home in Premiership, complete lack of intensity at some points in game it was actually walking pace & if I am truthful some of the substitutions & team line ups chosen this year in my opinion have been bizarre
