If ever there was a look of the glamorous 1920s, it is mesmerizing German-American actress Phillipine "Betty" Amann in the German silent film "Asphalt" (1929).

David Lynch, the Lost Highway. It makes it even spookier when you appreciate Robert Blake was subsequently acquitted of murdering his wife. Also, for those who don’t understand the scene: Robert Blake is supposed to be the embodiment of evil. And Bill Pullman invited evil into his home. You know it’s a pretty good movie when you remember the scene nearly 30 years after having watched the movie.

The psychological horror dramedy ‘Fade To Black’ starring Dennis Christopher, Tim Thomerson, Gwynne Gilford, Peter Horton, and Mickey Rourke opened in theaters this week in 1980 🎥 🚨 😱 #OTD

TRIVIA: Gwynne Gilford was pregnant with actor Chris Pine during filming and the production team had to hide her stomach in most of the shots. (IMDB) 🖤
