So… Mark Rober, a famous tech YouTuber, made a video about Tesla’s self driving. It got 10M views. It was negative on Tesla. The video was sponsored by Luminar Technologies, a LIDAR company, and their stock is up 20%, gaining around $35M in market cap. If they paid him $2M to do the video, they just got a 17x ROI off that marketing spend. How is this not an obvious conflict of interest? Why do these famous YouTubers constantly sell out their audience for money? Does anyone not value their brand anymore? Absolutely ridiculous if $TSLA is down 5% today because of this video.
