@lcgeography I used to have a great role play of cross- section of a depression with the cold front taking ‘giant steps’ while the warm front took ‘baby steps’ resulting in the warm sector narrowing and an occluded front forming. The pupil being the cold front ended up with a very curved back

I've used a cake metaphor to help pupils "see" the plan & cross section views of a depression. Till now, that has required the power of my description & pupils' ability to imagine. Today, Gemini helped us out by making the cake & the effect on pupil understanding was palpable.
