Hearts were then denying a stonewall handball at Fir Park a few days later perhaps due to this bizarre guidance. However the same VAR (Andrew Dallas) now makes a decision with unfathomable consequences, which some describe as the worst VAR decision ever.

Andrew Dallas checked and cleared this at Tynecastle last Monday because he thought it hit Sterlings shoulder

Seriously that is never a handball at Fir Park. The boy headed it 20 yards. The ref takes one look after VAR calls him over. Embarrassing for Scottish football.

This might be the worst VAR decision I’ve seen (and there’s a lot of competition). Extraordinary given the significance.

You can’t say that it is a clear and obvious error. SFA are never beating the allegations

Can we please get a live reaction from @mstewart_23? I fear the SFA may try to ban him from Scotland if we do

Sickening for Hearts. There is no chance that penalty is given if it’s at the other end

@ScotNat94 Brave of you to hold your hands up and say you were one of the dafties The Greens are on a hiding to nothing here. The Liberal Party and Socialist Labour also stood in these elections. Both clearly similar to other mainstream parties. No confusion made by voters there.

@robertreid_ What a strange view. Especially for older people who may have got confused. Also those who wanted to “vote Green” but didn’t necesarily know the difference between the two parties. You’re fast enough to still have a dead party as your cover 👍🏻😂

They weren’t local elections in Scotland, they were national elections to our Nations Parliament.

@WeeScotUnicorn @TumshieM Kelly is particularly disingenuous. He joined Alba because he knew that approach was unworkable. Now he’s back in the SNP and getting paid to write stories for the National, he’ll toe the party line and pretend that we’re on the cusp of independence.

The tranquilizing drug of gradualism. Hiding the independence argument in the thickets of a UK election. If independence is to he taken seriously it needs a Holyrood election called where it is the focus, not an ignored as sideshow of a UK election.
James Kelly@JamesKelly

The SNP must go ahead with the Section 30 vote on day one of the parliamentary session - and then when Westminster say no, we move forward to using the 2029 UK general election as the final act of this drama, and to win independence outright: scotgoespop.blogspot.com/2026/05/the-sn…

There will likely be the highest ever pro independence majority in no small part thanks to Alba Party. It is undeniable that over the past 5 years there has been a massive increase in public awareness of exploiting the list vote. The Greens have been the big winners from that.
