@TrevorFromEarth At least for Cycle 1, I think JPL already has as part of generating stereo-derived topo from the swath overlaps. They just have never released the data. The FMAPs were much better, with more data, than the MIDRs, but that's still 30 year-old processing.

Someone really needs to re-do the Magellan mosaics. They're a total mess. And there's lots of data that's straight up not included.

Here's a nice description of my friend Bob Grimm's instrument currently on its way to the moon to study its interior with the first planetary deployment of a magnetotelluric instrument: youtu.be/RjizBdB7YXg. Yes, he tells you what "magnetotelluric" means.

The interviews were conducted and edited by two undergraduate interns at Pasadena City College, Andrew Song and Amir Malik, as part of the SOAR program, a partnership between PCC and the VERITAS mission. Enjoy.

Please spread the word. In an effort led by Anna, VEXAG has collected and described available data and resources about Venus, hopefully in a way useful especially for new Venus researchers. Suggestions welcome. lpi.usra.edu/vexag/resource…

📢To any member of the (aspiring) Venus community!! Our @unveilvenus (VExAG) new "Venus Resources" webpage is now live! Go to: lpi.usra.edu/vexag/resource… 🔥 If you're interested in exploring Venus data (ground and space) and related tools, this is your place to start! (1/2)

The NOVA episode I was interviewed for airs tomorrow! pbs.org/wgbh/nova/vide…. I have not seen the final product, so I hope I was not left on the cutting room floor. I hear @ThePlanetaryGuy in the trailer so I know he's in the episode.

@SueSmrekar Grad student, visited JPL for 6 wks during mission. They had a b&w printer & would print ~2" wide strips of the range-azimuth data for each orbital swath, an ~100' strip. These would be tacked up around the walls of a work room, and that was how we got to first see the data.

30 years ago today, the Magellan spacecraft came to a violent end in Venus’ atmosphere. Did you work on Magellan? Share your story! As a grad student I did simulations of what we might expect to see revealed in the global gravity field.

@ExoCytherean Are you saying you've received negative reviews on a journal submission? What's that like? Most reviews I receive end with xxoo.

Nadine #Barlow, who sadly passed away 4 years ago just got a #crater on #Mars named after her. I never met her, but I really enjoyed reading a bunch of her papers on crater morphology. She also gave a positive review on my first first-author paper. planetarynames.wr.usgs.gov/Feature/16344 1/2
