2 AM on 4th Street in Hattiesburg. Driving a car I hadn’t made a payment on in three months, headlights off, with three police cars behind me. By 19, I was sticking needles in my arm, and my life was falling apart faster than I could admit.

Today’s lunch is Crescent City Grill.
Opened Crescent City Grill in 1987. Truth is, the menu didn’t change much for 20 years because folks kept coming back for the same favorites. For the first time in 38 years, I stepped back and gave Chef Nevil the wheel, and he’s bringing fresh energy to lunch with new salads and sandwiches.
Some things stay the same. Some things get better.
