That’s not effective communication. That’s accusatory, not a boundary.
The older lady handled it with grace. That’s effective.

This influencer was filming outside on a cold day. Over her shoulder she heard an elderly woman call to her “cover yourself up.” The young lady immediately took offense to what was said and assumed that the women meant that she was wearing revealing clothes. But the elderly woman was only expressing concern as this young lady was only wearing a sleeveless shirt and shorts, and she was worried she would get cold. Context matters and I can’t tell if she was picking a fight with the elderly woman or the comment of concern really just went over her head.
