Mum, "I'm standing in Times Square right now."🇺🇸 I grew up in a broken home. Parents divorced early. No money, no house. We moved into a relative's place because we had nowhere else to go. Don't eat too much. Don't be too loud. Don't ask for anything. That was my childhood. There were nights I didn't want to be here anymore. I was a kid who already felt like a burden. But I loved watching founders like Jack Ma talk about their journey. A lot of them came from nothing too. I resonated with that. Lying in bed every night thinking if they can do it why can't I. So at 16 I started my first business. Failed. Started another. Failed. Then another. Failed. Three startups before I finished high school. A teenager in debt while my classmates were playing games after school. Everyone said just study. Get a normal job. Be realistic. I tried. Interned at a big agency in uni. Hated every second. Quit and joined a tiny AI startup with almost no users. I was on Threads a lot and one day just tried posting about the product. It went viral. Did it again. Viral again. I didn't just get lucky. I spotted a wave and built a system around it. SOPs. Team. Scaled the whole thing from zero to real traction. All by 21. Now I'm here. Times Square. And the first thing I did was call my mum.She went quiet. That silence meant more than anything anyone has ever said to me. None of this was about making it big. It was about getting to a point where the people who suffered with me don't have to anymore. If you're somewhere dark right now and everything feels stuck. Keep going. It changes. I promise.

My information consumption is now 1/4 X, 1/4 podcast interviews of the smartest practitioners, 1/4 talking to the leading AI models, and 1/4 reading old books. The opportunity cost of anything else is far too high, and rising daily.

今天是我在 @DonutAI 作为 full time 的最后一天。接下来会追求新的挑战。同时也会作为 advisor 继续 contribute Donut。 一个好玩的巧合是，在我做出这个决定的深夜凌晨，BTC插针6万。这也是我刚入行大批建仓转入冷钱包的价格。 像是一个温和的提醒：就像市场走过一个周期一样，我也在走向人生的下一个阶段。 回到 2023 年，彼时我还在英国投行工作，对 crypto 很好奇，但一直不知道该怎么真正进入这个行业。 于是我用年假从伦敦飞到伊斯坦布尔，去参加 ETHGlobal 和一些行业活动，想去看看去学习。命运之轮转动，在一个很随机的场合，我遇到了 @Chrizhuu 。 只聊了五分钟，他就问我：“要不要一起做事？” 我当时非常惊讶。没有任何行业经验的我，也可以为团队创造价值吗？ Chris 不断鼓励我，帮我看到自己的优势，也指出我需要努力的方向；我想探索什么、想推动什么，他都愿意放手让我去做、让我承担责任。 在团队的信任和支持下，我从一个懵懂的新人，在短短两年里成长到可以独当一面。 这两年多的时间里，我完整经历了 Sonic 的全周期：从早期筹备、融资、build、TGE，到 post-TGE。这份独特的经历开启了我的职业快车道。 后来转到 Donut，一个 AI-native 非常产品导向的项目。同时融资也超过 2200 万美金。很幸运能和一群最优秀的人一起工作，一起去探索那些看起来很疯狂的方向。 还想特别感谢 @yutongli27 相识六年的老友缘聚于此。情谊如金，山高水长。还有非常优秀的同事们 @Ru7Longcrypto @Mondiscool @alanssol @robinn_eth @CommanderCrypto @notkinsa @superjinjeong 向他们学习了非常多。和大家一起熬夜赶版本的日子，虽然累但现在回想全是宝贵回忆。 当然，总会有遗憾。但人生不需要追求完美，有时候小满就已经很好。这不是结束，而是新篇章的开始。 无论走到哪里，我都会带着在这里学到的一切继续往前。怀念，感恩。 接下来大部分时间在北美。欢迎朋友们来找我玩。
