Sad day in NL, the Dutch government is expected to pass a bill introducing a 36% tax on unrealized capital gains. This will destroy long-term strategies, kill compounding effects & trigger a wealth exodus of biblical proportions. But they'll pass it anyway. Can't fix stupid.

So if it takes a majority of the Supreme Court to rule on a case, why can a single, solitary district court judge overrule the president and the will of nearly 80 million voters? Do Democrats really think a single federal court judge should wield more power than a Supreme Court Justice or the president?

@nerdcircus_ try to get really good at one opening (ie a narrow repertoire). No point in playing 2 first moves as white for example. Analyze all ur otb games extensively

do you think it’s feasible for me to go for USCF candidate master as a long-term goal ?
for context, i “started” chess ~2yrs ago, love studying, am ~2050 chesscom rapid & have now played ~15ish OTB games at the local club (~1600ish provisional rating, but still calibrating, etc)
